Marcos Foglia, el editor jefe de la página web del diario argentino Clarin.com, contó su historia en una visita que hizo a Ecuador para dar una charla sobre periodismo para internet en la Universidad Casa Grande, de Guayaquil.

De sus inicios cuenta… “En 1995 ingresé por tres meses a El Clarín como universitario practicante, y por coincidencia necesitaban un joven que se haga cargo de su naciente web”

A sus 29 años comanda un equipo de nada menos 45 personas. En la nota realizada por la revista de diario El Universo cuenta la instantaniedad que lograron en el atentado de Londres en base a e-mail de argentinos residentes en Europa que contaban minuto a minuto sus historias…

“Gran parte del trabajo de los operadores de las páginas web de los periódicos consiste en lograr que cada vez un mayor número de lectores se contacten con sus salas de redacción”, dice recordando también la importancia de la interactividad como valor agregado y diferencia de las ediciones de papel.

Claro que esta es una tarea en la que nadie es gurú y que se aprende probando y equivocándose, como confirma Marcos, aunque El Clarín, sin duda es uno de los diario que más aciertos ha tenido en la Región a nivel digital.

DATO CURIOSO

Me acabo de identificar con Marcos por ser apasionado del basquet y ya quisiera ir a jugar un partido con este colega aunque sólo hay un detalle a considerar: mide 1,97!
